Palmer Primer Vacuum Coater EL 1+
Today's market-place demands high quality paint and stain finishes to be applied on timber and MDF mouldings with the minimum of fuss, wastage and increased productivity by the timber importer, merchant, joinery or picture frame manufacturer.
The latest entry level Palmer Primer Vacuum Coater is a semi-portable, three phase electric motor driven vacuum coating machine, manufactured extensively from stainless steel.
Although the EL1+ is smaller than the standard range of vacuum coaters, it still borrows the same design philosophy and attention to detail as its bigger brothers, all components used have been rigorously tested for performance and reliability.
This machine has been designed to apply a perfectly even coating of oil or water based paints, preservatives or stains, to enhance the appearance of a variety of mouldings, ranging from 13mm quadrant, up to 150mm wide timber or MDF sections, from plain architrave, to some of the more complex sections available today.
Changing between timber or MDF moulding sections from 13mm quadrant to a 150mm Torus moulding is a very simple task, and takes literally seconds to complete. The feed speed of the moulding through the machine can be varied up to a maximum of 22 metres per minute.
Because a vacuum is used to draw the excess paint or stain off the mouldings no brushes or jets are required using this type of system, reducing the chance of operator error and substantially reducing the switchover times between coating different mouldings.
Due to the use of templates and the power of the generated vacuum inside the coating chamber instead of the the normal brush set-up in a standard Brush Coating machine, deeply rebated or Torus mouldings can be coated and the excess product removed just as quickly and easily as P.S.E. sections.
The fact that a vacuum rather than jets or brushes is used in the coating and removal process means that the paint or stain finish achievable on both timber or MDF board can be of a very high standard indeed, very evenly applied with no brush streak marks to mar the overall final finish.

The use of the very latest computer aided design systems ensures the construction is of the very highest standard.
Manufactured extensively from heavy gauge stainless steel plate which is a very tough durable and smooth surface to aid cleaning down at the end of the day.
Based upon four heavy duty castors, allowing easy manoeuvrability.
The main operator controls are enclosed in one self contained control panel for ease of use.
The machine requires a 415v 50Hz three phase + earth supply cable.
Running load current is approx. 10 amps. An air supply in excess of 19 C.F.M. is required for the pump. We have found that in normal use the pump requires considerably less than this operating pressure.
A length of 1/2" compressed air hose will be required to connect your compressor or air supply to our machine.
We ask you to arrange to connect both the electrical and air supply to our machine.
